Company Philosophy
Arthur Dunnam for Jed Johnson Studio formed at the end of 2016 to continue the work of Jed Johnson Associates, which Arthur had served as Design Director of for the past twenty years. The design process with Arthur Dunnam for Jed Johnson should be a pleasurable experience from beginning to end. Our goal is to understand our clients’ needs and to create with each client, a unique residence that in its response to those needs, delivers beyond expectations. Listening to the client and distilling that knowledge into an approach which is then filtered through our knowledge and experience is essential to achieving our goal. Whether the aesthetic is more contemporary, modern, or traditional, we are fully engaged and informed in our work.
 
Areas of Expertise / Recent Projects
Having collaborated on a number of residences with multiple partners at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Gil Schafer, Frank Greenwald, and many other noted architects, The AD for JJ team has proven its ability to be a respectful member of the design team. Our experience and abilities equally qualify us to take on a more comprehensive role if a project calls for it. Big Sur, Mustique, multiple islands in the Bahamas, Martha’s Vineyard, Palm Beach, Lake Michigan, Rancho Santa Fe, Scottsdale, Aspen, Vail, and Chicago as well as Eastern Long Island, New York, and Connecticut have all provided backdrops for AD for JJ’s diverse array of projects.
