In addition to taking on interior design projects worldwide, Nina specializes in large-scale homebuilding & major renovations in the Beverly Hills, Hancock Park, Santa Monica, and Sunset Hills areas. Plush Home’s team of designers, staff architects, and builders have a strong reputation in designing and project management of kitchen, bath, gym, screening rooms, and major remodels.
“I start with a classic foundation, but truly enjoy the process of branching out creatively from there." From single rooms to major estates, Nina Petronzio has solidified Plush Home’s reputation as a high-end purveyor of turn-key interior design services. As standard fare, the Plush Home process is highly efficient with all installations completed timely and without compromise to quality, detail, or care. Each project is carefully designed to harmoniously work with the original bones of the home. “I love to find the original intended architecture of a property and work with it from that point of view.”
Nina’s design process always begins with ascertaining the client’s likes, dislikes, needs, and dreams for their space. Whether it’s building around a client’s existing collection or creating a custom furniture plan for their space, each design scheme is determined with the client’s lifestyle and personality in mind.
To provide the client with a concrete sense of what the end result of their project will look like, exact dimensions of the furniture layout is presented in a 3-D plan. Once approved, a harmonious color scheme is then created. Fabrics, paints, surfaces, wood finishes, area rugs, artwork, and accessories are all accounted for. From paints to exterior living areas, final details to final delivery…even placement of the last frosted light bulb, every aspect of the interior design process is handled and accounted for by Nina’s Plush Home team.
“If done right, even the most major addition or renovation should appear seamless to the original structure.”
As the daughter to a lifelong sculptor who built many of their family homes, Nina Petronzio’s approach to home building is as systematic as it is creative. “I don’t like surprises or add-ons in the building phase, so I always begin by creating extremely detailed plans to get accurate bids with.”
In her full scale projects, there literally isn't a single electric socket that is not specified. The firm’s goal with every job is to outline all particulars beforehand. Every surface, paint color, and kitchen appliance is specified.
